MISSION

The Clearwater Fire & Rescue Honor Guard was formed in 2002 to represent Clearwater Fire & Rescue and the surrounding community in a variety of venues.
Our primary mission is to honor our fallen brothers and sisters should they answer their final alarm.

Currently, our team has over twenty members with more than 150 years of experience in Drill and Ceremony, both with the military and Emergency Service Agencies. Several members of the Honor Guard are also Lead Instructors for the National Honor Guard Academy and most have assisted with the command and coordination of the national and state memorial services to honor fallen firefighters.

A lot of people don’t realize or understand what the honor guard does.  You need to look no further than to the family of a fallen firefighter as their loved one is laid to rest with honors or the pride in the face of a citizen standing proudly as the flags pass by.  We volunteer our time and are dedicated to represent all of our fellow firefighters as well as other public safety officers.  We donate our time and effort because we feel it is our duty to be there for our brothers and sisters should they pay the ultimate sacrifice. We are committed to upholding honor and tradition with dignity and respect. “Pride is our Reward!

We would greatly appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide our organization.  All events are staffed voluntary, and completed without charge.  Donations to help us full fill our mission can be made specifically to: Clearwater Fire Rescue Honor Guard.  They can be mailed to 610 Franklin Street, Clearwater, FL 33756, Attn: Doug Swartz.
